Owner, Dan Miles
I have been creating outdoor living designs for most of my life. When I was 13 years old, I worked for a deck builder who lived down the street. I would watch his truck while he worked in Philly. After that, I became a laborer and worked my way up through the ranks during my summers and vacations from high school and college. I have lived in the Greater Philadelphia area all my life. After graduating from Ridley High School in 1992, I attended Upsala College of NJ where I studied Political Science.
In 1997 I was inspired to start my own business, Miles Decks. I have a passion for creating unique outdoor living designs. I am dedicated to continuing education on safety, design, and the latest trends concerning materials.
In 1997 I also met my wife Jennifer. Two years later we married and settled in Falls Township in Bucks County, PA where we still live. One of the greatest joys of my life came from the adoption of my daughter Katie in 2006. Jen and I set out to have family and that is just what we have done. In 2012, we were blessed with the ability to adopt another beautiful daughter and welcomed Julia into our hearts and home.
As a family, we enjoy traveling and being involved with Katie and Julia’s activities including Dance and Cheerleading. We also like spending time with other local adoptive families with whom we share a special bond.
I am a Lacrosse Referee in my spare time. I played lacrosse from youth through college and I love being involved with the sport. I especially like working at the youth level and lending my knowledge and experience to help the kids be their best.
I am a member of the Falls Township Zoning Hearing Board which is a quasi- Judicial panel that hears cases regarding zoning issues in our township. I help homeowners and businesses sort out their issues all while preserving and creating a great place to live.
